Mothering the mother

Postpartum doula’s offer mother focused support, that is free from judgement and personal bias’s. The concept of mothering the mother has been lost in the mix of our busy westernized modern lives, where woman are expected to back back to real life, fit into their old jeans, grin and bear their burdens and struggles.

Postpartum doula’s support the recovery of the birther, with the understanding of the unique difference between belly and vaginal births. They provide emotional, physical, and informational support to new parents during the postpartum period. They help with tasks like newborn care, breastfeeding support, light house work and offer guidance on adjusting to parenthood. The presence of a postpartum doula can contribute to a smoother transition, reduced stress and increased confidence for parents in the early days of caring for a newborn.

Mothering the North is the rebirth of this window of time.

The tenderness and love we show ourselves is teaching our children how to love and be loved.
